If you’re anything like me, then you thrive on having everything organized.
It’s very important to keep your things well organized if you are a teacher. Whether it’s finding the right craft supplies before an activity, or labeling the toys so that the kids can tidy them up, these things keep you sane and save you a lot of time.
But how do you keep your library organized? We have started using an amazing app that’s called Librarything. The best thing about it is that it’s free and you can download it on iOS and Android phones.
The app lets you add books to your catalog either by scanning the barcode or by searching the author/title. After doing this, you can edit its information, rate the book, add it to different collections (that you create), tag it, even write a review.
I suggest creating collections based on your annual themes, so when you start planning it’s easier to find the most suitable resources. A book can be added to as many collections as you want.
You can then share your library by sending a link to your friends: http://www.librarything.com/catalog/GrumpyDumpling (or the username) and check the titles from your laptop or smartphone.
I warmly recommend this app to anyone who has books to organize!
Before I end, here are some photos of our cute reading corner.
