Do you have lots of great ideas for kids’ projects, but when you actually want to try something fun and educative nothing comes to mind? It has happened to me – quite often, I might add! And that’s why I made this idea cup.
This is how it works: whenever we want to play and learn something fun, we choose one of these sticks from the cup. We have most of the materials ready in our art and craft supply room, so we find all things that we need and get to work. 🙂
If you are a stay at home parent, don’t worry! You can find most of the ingredients for the art and craft activities at the local store.
How you make your own idea cup:
- buy as many popsicle sticks as you need – 1 stick/activity;
- print the list on the blog or make your own with activities you know your kid likes;
- cut each title and tape it to a stick;
- use different types of washy tape to color code the sticks according to the activities proposed (I used green for art and crafts and green and blue for games and play time);
You can add as many categories and activities as you like – I will probably add science experiments, music, and math soon. Now you’ll never run out of ideas!
When you feel that your children are bored with the activities, just take the titles off and replace them with new ones. If you need more ideas, go to my Pinterest page and check out all those great activities!
