I’m very happy to join my friends from doodlebugsteaching again for the Five for Friday Linky Party. This is a weekly teacher linky party where we post five random things from the past week. Here’s my week.
It’s been a long week, so I’ll be brief because I can’t wait to go to bed. It’s 10 PM here in Finland, I’ve been outside with the kids for three hours in the rain, so now I just want to rest under my cozy blanket.
The entire week there was only one thing on the kids’ mind: the Halloween party! So we prepared (more) crafts, pained a huge cardboard castle, explored pumpkins, played games, and sang Halloween songs.
Exploring pumpkins was so much fun! Some of the kids didn’t feel confident about touching the seeds, others loved it!
Our theme for Halloween is Transylvania, so we made Dracula’s castle out of cardboard boxes. The kids enjoyed painting without their socks on (the cardboard was so large, that they had to sit on it while painting some parts). Today they played firefighter games in it.
We compared numbers with the help of Mr. Croc.
We sang “Knock, Knock, Trick or Treat” the entire week.
Have an awesome weekend!
I’m going to bed now.
