December is here, which means that we opened the first few envelopes of our Advent calendar. The kids are extremely excited about the surprises the elves have prepared!
Tomorrow we’ll set up a winter creation station with play dough and props. I want to encourage the children to explore more, to come up with their own ideas, rather than just doing what I show them. If you want to know more about process art, you can read this blog post.
The winter creation station is easy to set up. You need place mats or trays, play dough (I made it with flour, water, and salt – click for the recipe), and any small objects that the kids can press into/onto it. We will have buttons, googly eyes, glitter, beads, and stickers.
